Window and Door Systems:

MasterLine

High performance, modern thin frames for luxury custom homes

The completely flat frame face is complementary to modern new builds and floor to ceiling glass designs. With slightly larger profiles (starting at 2”), More challenging architectural designs for large glass surfaces are easily met - doors up to near 10 feet tall, and operating windows up to 9 feet tall are achievable with MasterLine. A perfect storm is created with the high insulation gasket - given MasterLine is thermally broken to accommodate passivhaus and net zero homes, and larger glazing surfaces are generally more efficient than smaller ones, It is the go to system for big builds with big windows.

Use for:

  • Modern Architecture and custom home builds

  • Cottages

  • Large glass surfaces such as floor to ceiling windows

  • Strict thermal and air tightness performance requirements (SB 12 Code compliance, Passivhaus energy levels)

  • Home automation/smart home devices

SL 38 Windows and Doors

Classic designs/renovations

A contemporary steel look system ideal for renovations and traditional/transitional new builds. If you are looking for glass grids (aka ‘georgian bars’) or a crittal style, SL 38 is a perfect fit. With frames starting at 1.3”, It’s our sleekest system (SL Meaning slimline) - the tradeoff is more stringent limitations in size, with doors limited to 8 feet in height, and operating windows limited to 7.5 feet. Larger sizes can be achieved with reinforcements and couplings in many cases.

Sliding System Considerations

Sliding systems: Between lift and slides and Bi-Folds, there are endless possibilities with our sliding systems. From a modest patio door to an 8 leaf slider stacking 40 feet end to end, here’s what we think is important to consider:

Size:

  • Our sliding systems can reach heights up to 10 feet.

  • The more sliding elements you have, the deeper the frame, and the more challenging it is to integrate with standard wall constructions.

Performance:

  • We recommend keeping bigger Bi-Folds (>8 feet height, > 15 feet width) for the pool house. Forget about a flush track for your bifold.

  • Lift and slides are incredible for water and air tightness.

  • If you are investing in a large sliding system, don’t pass the buck. Realize the full value of your investment with triple glazing.

  • The fewer sliding elements per lift and slide, the better the performance.

Budget:

  • Bi Folds are always more expensive.

  • The fewer sliding elements per lift and slide, the more cost effective your solution.
